A Natural Assist: A Sustainability Initiative presented by Kimberly-Clark

A Natural Assist: A Sustainability Initiative presented by Kimberly-Clark is a program focused on promoting sustainability in the San Francisco Bay Area. At Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, volunteers from the Warriors and Kimberly-Clark helped keep the park clean by picking up micro-trash and debris. At Half Moon Bay State Beach, volunteers helped protect and restore coastal dune and bluff scrub habitats by removing invasive ice plant, cape ivy, mustard, thistles, and hemlock from coastal scrub areas. Both events made a positive impact on the environment, taking steps to ensure we have healthy planet and a thriving future for all.

Sustainable Soles presented by Starry

22 billion sneakers head to landfill each year because they are not properly recycled. The Golden State Warriors hosted Sustainable Soles, presented by Starry, an event focused on encouraging fans to properly donate and recycle shoes and clothing they no longer need, in order to divert waste and give back to the community. Various organizations were tabling at Thrive City to help educate the community on sustainable living, and Paint Them Kicks LLC hosted a shoe decorating station for guests. Knowing that the Bay Area is home to many sneakerheads, there was also a special VIP shopping experience for young adults from 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic and Larkin Street Youth Services, hosted by HavASole.
