Nelson German is a chef and owner of Alamar Dominican Kitchen and Sobre Mesa in Oakland. For 14 years, Chef Nelson has mentored high school students through the Sprouts Internship Program, teaching essential skills to help them thrive in the workforce. During the pandemic, he donated thousands of free meals to laid-off and front-line workers. He continues to support local nonprofits like No Kid Hungry, Reading Partners, and World Central Kitchen.
