The Warriors are committed to taking an active interest in the well-being of our community and to be great corporate citizens. We strive to develop life-long fans of the game of basketball through cause-marketing programs and initiatives. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those that are underserved in our community.

We invest in education programs to promote equity of life outcomes driven by education attainment.

  • Basketball Decoded

    The Warriors and HPE are committed to unlocking educational and economic opportunities for Black and Brown students in underserved communities at the intersection of basketball and technology.

  • Read To Achieve Reading Rally

    The Warriors in partnership with Ross host Read to Achieve Reading Rally’s across the Bay Area to highlight the importance of reading.

  • Rakuten Future Leaders

    The Warriors teamed up with Rakuten and Girls Inc. to host Rakuten Future Leaders, a program designed to uplift the next generation of women leaders by focusing on confidence building and preparing girls for their next steps in life.

  • Learning Without Limits

    The Learning without Limits program is presented by Newfront, formerly ABD, and allows the Warriors to provide Bay Area youth with engaging STEM related educational experiences not found in the typical classroom.

  • BHM Pop-Up Bookstore

    In celebration of Black History Month, the Warriors partnered with Chase to host a pop-up bookstore at Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center. All books given away were provided by Marcus Books, the nation’s oldest Black-owned independent bookstore, specializing in titles by & about Black people.

    • National Mentoring Month

      On and off the court, mentors are needed! The Golden State Warriors and NBA 2K teamed up with MENTOR California to gift scholars from Posse Foundation with an amazing hands-on sports business shadowing experience and mentorship opportunity at a Warriors home game.

    Community Health and Wellness

    We support a variety of physical and mental health and wellness initiatives that promote resilient communities where all people can thrive.

    • Thrive City Farmers Market On Wheels

      Thrive City Farmers Market on Wheels has become an essential program to provide food security support for some of our most vulnerable neighbors. Offering nutritional items to the community who do not otherwise have access to healthy options has become a staple of our immediate impact.

      • Swishes For Dishes

        On the court, every point counts. Off the court, every point feeds. During the 21’-22’ season, every time the Warriors scored a point, 100 meals were donated to local food banks to support Bay Area families. This means when our team puts up 100 points, win or lose, Kaiser Permanente, Athletes Corner and the Warriors are donating 10,000 meals to prevent hunger. The Golden State Warriors partnered with Kaiser Permanente, The Athletes’ Corner, Feeding America and Second Harvest of Silicon Valley to support the Drive-Thru Grocery Distribution at Skyline College in San Bruno.

      • Home Court Assist

        This past season, the Warriors and Chase relaunched Home Court Assist, a six-month meal delivery program that delivers over 12,000 hot meals to Bay Area communities in need from local restaurants throughout the course of the season.

      • Peaceful Warriors

        The Golden State Warriors, in partnership with Adobe, aim to inspire mental wellness for elementary-aged students through creativity and self-expression. The Peaceful Warriors program is designed to inspire, empower and equip young people with the tools to thrive in social circumstances through creativity, while simultaneously fostering a nurturing holistic approach to uplift and transform school culture to become an inclusive, safe, supportive and creative environment for all. The program will continue to focus on meeting the current needs of students, while using art as a creative outlet for self-expression, peaceful communication, and social emotional learning, through mindfulness and the arts.

      • Juneteenth Celebration

        The Golden State Warriors observe Juneteenth with a celebration at Thrive City with music, food from local Black-owned businesses, education, games, and performances.

      • Hoops for Troops

        In celebration of Hoops for Troops, the Warriors and Hennessy partnered with United Service Organization (USO) in creating and delivering care packages for active military members waiting to be deployed.

      Sustainable Local Economies

      We support and patronize businesses led by entrepreneurs of color, and support initiatives that strengthen local economic development in the Bay Area, including workforce and job training

      • WEM Pamper Pop-up

        In partnership with Chase, we hosted a pampered spa experience at Thrive City for women who have significantly impacted the Bay Area. Services were provided by women-owned Chase clients and as a surprise, those businesses were given a financial grant to grow their business efforts.

        • WEM Marketplace

          We teamed up with Chase to host a Women’s Small Business market that showcased 13 women-owned makers, crafters, designers, artists, and more.

        • Financial Gameplan: Small Business Impact

          The Golden State Warriors, in partnership with JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) work with College Track and MyPath to create a financial training program centered around high school students who are starting to prepare for college.

        Civic Engagement & Policy Advocacy

        We seek to dismantle structural and systemic racism by using our platform to enfranchise voters, and to amplify and support public policy that addresses racial equity and systemic racism.

        • Voters Campaign

          As part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to civic engagement, the Golden State Warriors activated multiple initiatives in Oakland, San Francisco and Santa Cruz to support voter participation in the 2020 General Election. The three sites saw approximately 6,000 voters over the weekend before and on Election Day.
