Teacher Trainings

An ongoing virtual learning series for teachers in OUSD and SFUSD that focuses on technology skills, creating classroom community, building anti-racist classrooms, and building community and connection among teachers.

Health & Resilience Sessions

Partnering with Kaiser Permanente and local practitioners, we will provide classes for teachers and nonprofit staff in salsa, yoga, mindfulness, healthy eating/cooking, and managing stress.

Non-Profit Capacity Building Sessions

Through a series of partnerships with individual trainers and consulting groups, we will provide educational programming in three key areas: rebuilding fundraising platforms, results-based accountability with a focus on racial equity, and leadership development for entry level and mid-level nonprofit staff.

Supporting Non-Profits Through Uncertainty

During this pandemic, our communities depend on the work of non-profits. Generation Thrive is providing local non-profits with professional development for staff, training on rebuilding fundraising platforms, and results-based cohort training, achieved through community engagement.

Building Community and Connection Amongst Teachers

We might be apart, but it is our goal at Generation Thrive to make sure that teachers are still building connections within their community. Generation Thrive will provide trainings for teachers in both San Francisco and Oakland to ensure that they stay connected.

Establishing Anti-Racist Classrooms

Every aspect of the classroom environment should be created with racial equity in mind. Generation Thrive will share design strategies to create Anti-Racist classrooms. Educators and families will be provided resources to engage children in age-appropriate conversations about racial justice.

Resiliency in the Virtual World

In any classroom, the top priority is keeping students engaged. Generation Thrive will work closely with teachers to help build effective classroom communities in virtual learning spaces. Using donations directly for school districts, we"re also helping teachers tackle the digital divide.
